Hi!

How can I revoke senders' permission to add standard fields to the document in an assigned template, but still give them permission to adjust the recipient list or to add contact details and fill in predefined fields in the document.

With the settings “Template Usage Options” i am not able to do that.

Is there another way?

A potential workaround would be to set the Template Use to Quick send only and you will need to add a new recipient to the envelope signing flow, this new recipient will be the sender of the envelope, you can assign all the fields that they need to fill prior sending to the signers, I also recommend adding a signing order if needed.

However they will not be able to add new recipients to the envelope as per Template Usage Options  Quick send only: When the template is used, the sender simply completes the recipient and envelope information and sends. The sender cannot make any changes to the recipient list, documents, or recipient fields. This setting requires that the template have at least one document, one recipient, and one recipient field.

Hi,

thanks for your message and the suggested workaround.

If there is no setting just to blank out the left bar of the standard fields for a sender, then we have to go that way.

I guess that works…

But why doesn't an admin have the possibility to tweak around with every setting and adjust it the way they need it? Can´t imagine that no other users want for specific usecase to blank out the standar fields for some senders.
