Hello everyone.

I'm adding a textbox to a contract I'm trying to fill out and when i try to resize the text to fit along the according lines it doesn't let me. The selected text box only lets me move it around but does not let me resize it using the expanded arrows on the corners. its like the text box has a fixed size.

Is there a fix to this?

I hope you doing well. One question here, are you trying to resize the field while creating the envelope or while filling out the envelope that you receive.

Because some fields are populated automatically for example recipient information which cannot be resized.

Hey, If you are talking about the “Text Box” field, then it can be resize even i am able to do that.

 


Yes, It usually works for me all the time but yesterday it did not. I tried different browsers and two different computers. I’m familiar with Docusign and it even worked for me the day before but yesterday it wasn’t allowing me to resize it. 


I feel this is kind of bug or something. I must suggest, if you raise the support ticket to DS support.

If the issue is also happening in other browsers and devices I recommend you create a support case.

I also would like to mention that it might be due to a backend setting not being enabled which could be because of your plan, a support agent can help to determine if that is the case or if the it is supported on your plan.

Same issue for me yesterday when I needed it to work to complete a contract. It worked fine the day before but I spent 6 hours trying to find a solution before I went back to the future and printed and scanned the 59 pages of the document and filled in the tricky parts with a pen.

Doesn’t seem to be a lot of support on here either.

Now I want to ditch docusign and use something reliable?

This issue occurs for me as well, as of October 7, 2024. This seems like a glaring bug, and I’m a bit surprised it hasn’t been resolved yet. It happens on multiple browsers and across envelopes. I would think being able to manipulate the field that is probably the third most used (After Signatures and Initials)  would be a pretty big issue …

 

 


Has anyone been able to fix this? This is still happening on December 3, 2024. 


Ok, not sure if anyone was using an iPad Pro like myself but that was the issue for me. I had to use my Desktop and now I am able to change the size of the text box while editing my template. 


Has anyone found a solution to this issue??  I’ve already reset cookies and site data and tried multiple browsers, but nothing seems to work.  


I have also tried multiple browsers and nothing is working since I got online last week. I was able to resize text boxes when I had my free trial, but now that I’m paying I can’t even do what I need. It makes it so that I am completely unable to use Docusign. I’m surprised Docusign has not taken more responsibility to look into this yet. I will have to try it on my PC when I get home, maybe it doesn’t like my Macbook? I briefly encountered some kind of glitch where I DID get a re-sizable text box, but then I couldn’t move (click & drag) it! I could only re-size it. I will mess with some more settings and see if I can’t discover anything.

Sounds frustrating 😕 It could be a browser or Mac-specific glitch. Trying on your PC should help narrow it down if it works there, it’s likely compatibility with your Mac/browser.
