I created a template and I need to be to specify that at one level only certain users will require additional signer and others will not.

for example:

say I’m filling out this document and mine gets routed to my supervisor, and account payable

BUT

my co-worker fills out the same document and his needs to get routed to supervisor, manager and then accounts payable

Is there a way to achieve that with just one template? TIA

@lk1

Yes, you can achieve this with a single template in DocuSign by using conditional routing and role-based recipients.

@JohnSantos,

Thank you for your help and quick reply. As I’m still very new, I’m not sure how to go about doing this.
Would I have to define role-based recipients and would that include names/emails… somewhere? TIA

@lk1

Have you had a chance to review this information? Introduction to Conditional Routing

@JohnSantos,

Thank you for the link to explore. And yes I did explore this topic and I’m still not sure how to set this up correctly.

So any employee could pick this template up and start using it.

It will go to their immediate supervisor for approval (they specify name and email address when they Start the process)

Once it’s approved and signed by their supervisor the for some will go to AP but for others it might go to another level of approval - manager but it’s not one manager for everyone so how does that conditional routing work?

I can add ALL managers to a group like it says, but how will it go to the correct manager of this particular employee? that’s where I’m a little confused, I guess…

Hope you can help me some more and thank you.
