HELLO!
Due to a mistake a client signed a document and the name of the company he was signing for was misspelled on the document.
This name appears in the document that was sent to sign, not in the signature or initials of the document. The error is in the file, not in DocuSign.
How can I correct it? Can the file be reopened and corrected?

Thanks!

@Micaela Lopez Barrps You cannot swap or correct the document in the envelope once any of the Recipients on that envelope have completed their action(s). Your best option is to void the original envelope, copy (or copy with field data) the original to make a new envelope, then “replace” the current document on the copy to the new document with the updated company name.  Use the  three dots or more action s in the bottom right corner of the document to select “Replace” which allows you to swap document A for document B without losing the DocuSign fields already on place. Once the new (copied) envelope has the new document and confirmed all the other items are correct, Send.  All Recipients will have to repeat the actions on the new envelope regarding signing or initials, if using copy with field then Recipient fields like a text box would carry over the copied details from the original envelope and they just need to review and sign/initial.

Thank you very much on your quick and complete answer.

There is no way to fiz this without havind the other parties signing again the fixed document right?

Thanks again

@Micaela Lopez Barrps Thats correct, because a Recipient has taken action the document in its current form is locked in place and cannot be altered. IF the envelope was sent and no Recipients took any action then the document could be replaced by correcting.
