Is there a way to get formula fields to automatically calculate a date based on terms?

I need to create an attributed calendar (date) field that must be automatically filled when the user fill in the "Effective date of Contract" attribute field and a "terms" field that contains ammounts o months duration (i.e 30, 60, 90 months...)

I haven't found any way to acomplish this, I've tryed with Smart Rules or Workflows, but those features didn't calculate the final value (initial date + terms = final expiration daet) in real time ( when the user is manually fillin in the attributes values).

So if I understand you correctly, you have three attributes on a document:

Effective date of Contract
Terms
Contract End Date

You want the user to fill in the first two and have the third calculated automatically, correct? Well, I think that's possible in a workflow after the attribute has been edited as you found out, but not within the Attribute tab and not in real-time.
