Is there a way to delegate an alternate signer if original signer is unexpectantly out for an extended period of time?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out here in the DocuSign Community.

Your signer can set a delegated signer during the time they will be out of the office, please view the following article for more information: https://support.docusign.com/s/document-item?bundleId=jux1643235969954&topicId=bbk1637048103951.html&_LANG=enus

Hi Nathanly,

Thanks for the answer!

If I set up a delegation, effective today with no end date, could I sign when I am in office and the delegate sign if I am unexpectedly out? Trying to determine if this is an effective way to move things along in the case that someone is out of office without notice.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching back.

Yes, you can have an open delegated signer (meaning there is a start date but no end date) and yes, you can still sign documents while having an active delegate assigned.

Let us know if you need further assistance with this.
