I would like to know if the following option is possible: If the employee is required to click a checkbox before filling out the form can I build it in that the form will automatically advance to a specific page to fill out?

Checkboxes are optional fields, they can not be set as required as you would with other fields, however, you can set up a validation that will require them to select "X" amount of checkboxes: https://support.docusign.com/s/document-item?bundleId=gbo1643332197980&topicId=szs1578456506954.html&_LANG=enus

You can also set up conditional fields so that, once they click on the checkbox, those fields appear, and they are taken to them: https://support.docusign.com/s/document-item?bundleId=gbo1643332197980&topicId=iqw1578456520131.html&_LANG=enus

However, if there are fields on the same page as the checkbox, they will be taken to those first and then to the next page, if there aren't any fields then they would be taken to the next page.
