I keep getting requests from docusign to sign a document that was not meant for me. I cannot decline to sign it since it asks for SMS verification that I am the correct person trying to sign the document. Does anyone have any advice for me to stop getting these notifications? I use docusign so I don’t want to report these emails as spam.

Hello @alchu99 ,

Welcome to the Docusign Community and thank you for posting your concerns!

Have you tried contacting the Sender using the email address that is usually with in the email body?

Let us know if you need further assistance with this.

Thanks - I’ve tried but no response. as the document is from a large bank in Asia - it seems as though the mail is coming from some automated system/integration

@alchu99

If you try to view it - and fail to complete the SMS check, will the document bounce back to the sender? It may (or may not) eventually hit an expiration date…

good luck

Thanks for the help @mr1 and @nathaly.monge

No, it just says “check your sms text, if you did not receive it, check your number” and gives me the option to resend the text. It’s so frustrating, I’ve forwarded this email to the person who is intended to get the mail, and they are just ignoring the requests.

@alchu99 :

That is frustrating! I wonder if the number the texts are going to is correct? The person ignoring your emails may be creating a web of frustration centered on this one DocuSign they refuse to acknowledge :-)

Hopefully the document expires soon and ceases to be a problem for you.

have a good day

mr1
