Docs come up with symbols

Question

I use a PC laptop.  I have many many customers telling me that when they pull up the email from Docusign with the attached contract docs, the wording is all symbols and “hyroglyphics”; they cannot read it to sign and return.  What is the problem?  I am sending PDF’s of the docs...what else could it be?  Seems like a compatability issue - thoughts?
