I’m trying to make a real estate contract with editable fields. I used to be able to easily upload a doc and then insert these editable fields, but for some reason I can no longer access the field list, everything is greyed out.

I am sorry to hear that you haven’t been able to add new fields to your document, but I will assist in solving the issue.
This behavior is usually triggered by missing to add a recipient, or role, during the Add recipients step of the envelope creation process.Once you have defined your recipients, the standard fields menu will be available at the left side of the screen during the document tagging process.
