We received a contract on the 20th of the month with a start date of unknown, we then got sent a new link from Docusign a few days later with a “supposedly” amended start date. Are we able to find out what the original start date was ? or if there was a change made ?

No, you cannot compare different envelopes in Docusign eSignature as they are separate transactions.

You could compare documents and highlight differences if you are working with Docusign CLM, where this is a standard functionality. If they update the document via correcting the envelope, the link may stay the same.
