Adding text to the signature

L.S.,I have added a text to a specific signature (upon the request of that signatory) after all other signatories had already signed the docusign request. When having resent the amended request, and downloading the document, the text does not appear on the document (at that moment the reipient has not yet signed the document). For that reason it is difficult to check whether the recipient indeed sees the text when opening the request. Would be great if somebody could advise whether this is indeed correct or whether I miss something
