Did you know you can limit who can see certain documents within an envelope? This can be done using document visibility! With document visibility you can create a single envelope with multiple recipients and restrict who can see certain documents. Visibility is based on where eSignature fields are placed. If a field for a recipient exists on a document, they’ll be able to see that document within the envelope. At a note, the sender will always be able to see all documents included in an envelope. eSignature Admins will set up document visibility under their Admin > Sending Settings. There are a few options for how document visibility can be configured. See below:Must sign to view, unless a member of the sender’s account - This option enables document visibility for the account. Each envelope that is created will have document visibility enabled. The settings will apply to all recipients unless they are a member of your account. Need to send additional documents alongside your main document for signature? Check out supplemental documents. With supplemental documents you can send additional documents that do not require signature, but instead, enforce a recipient’s behavior. Do you find it difficult to identify or personalize envelopes when sending documents through Docusign, especially in bulk or with PowerForms? Are your email notifications starting to look the same, making it harder to track important agreements?Here’s a simple solution: use merge fields in your template’s email subject and message body. Merge fields let you automatically add recipient names, email addresses, or envelope custom fields (ECFs), making each envelope easier to spot, search, and personalize. The account profile is where a lot of the main information for your account is stored. For example the account name, account address, admin custom message and custom help contact information. As a Docusign eSignature Administrator, you can access your account profile by going to the Admin tab > Account Profile. Let’s review each of these components:Account Name - This appears in notification emails to recipients and in your account drop-down menu. This is typically the name of your company or organization. To edit this, click “Edit” Account Address - This is used as your account's billing address and in the certificate of completion for your sent envelopes. This is typically the address for your company or organization’s headquarters. Admin Custom Message - With this, you can display a notice banner to all account users. You can also add an optional custom message that appears when the notice banner is clicked. This is helpful for important announcements you’d like to communicate to

There are times when you, as the sender, might not know the final signer of a document, or you might want someone else to manage and modify recipient information as needed. Want to ensure that the right person is accessing your envelopes to sign? Try using access codes when sending! Access codes are similar to a “password” that you can create. Recipients need to enter that access code in order to access the envelope and sign. Let’s walk through some fast facts:Access codes are free to utilize! There is no fee charged per use. Access codes are applied in the recipient area of an envelope under the “Customize” drop down menu. Access codes can include numbers, letters, and special characters. They are not case sensitive! DS Admins can set rules related to access codes within the Admin > Security Settings area.  For example: Rules must contain X number of characters, special characters, uppercase letters, etc. Once an access code is applied for a recipient, it is the responsibility of the sender to distribute the code. Ever wondered why you’re receiving certain email notifications from Docusign eSignature? For any new users that are added to your account, the default email notifications can be set by your Docusign eSignature Administrator. Once active on the account, each user can control their own notifications to fit their preferences. Notifications are organized based on scenarios. When a user is the sender of an envelope vs when they are a recipient.
