Draw Box to small for free hand drawing

Badge +1

Hello,

I have a document where I need to use the drawing free box to circle two options. Starting last Thursday when you click on the draw box to edit the file appears tiny and the options for color of pencil and pencil length are huge. Any way to fix this?

Hello @hortah01 ,

Welcome to the Docusign Community and thank you for posting your concerns!

I’m sorry to hear that your documents are showing tiny, I understand you need to use the free form drawing box but the lines shows very big.

Are the documents you are using scanned? If so, can you scan them in a lower resolution?

The following article might be of help as well: Fields appear too small when tagging and sending an envelope

That did not help. The issue seems to be the update to the UI which stacks the possible colors to make the pen vertical instead of horizontal. See picture for reference

Hello @hortah01 ,

Thank you for reaching back and confirming.

Can you confirm if this also happens in other browsers?

Hello, yes it is happening in Chrome, Mozilla, and Edge.

Hello @hortah01 ,

Thank you for reaching back and confirming.

While playing around in a document I made to reproduce the issue, I found that changing the Zoom settings on the browser to a lower percentage makes the document bigger. This could be a viable workaround but I see what you mean regarding the options showing vertical and taking up unnecessary space on the screen. I’m currently investigating if this was intended, I advise you to use the workaround for now and any update available I will provide it on this thread.

We truly apologize for the inconvenience. Let me know if the workaround works for you.

Hello @hortah01 ,

Thank you for the patience.

It seems like this change was intended after the recent UI change, I recommend you create a Customer Support case stating this issue and requesting an enhancement to revert back to the previous UI for the drawing feature back to the previous one.

Please open a Customer Support case by clicking the link below, and we’ll address your request as soon as possible. https://support.docusign.com/en/contactSupport

  1. Select Open a Support Case at the top of the page.
  2. Select the Continue button beneath eSignature, Rooms, and CLM. Note: If you're a DoD customer, select DoD Customer Login.
  3. Log in using your Product credentials (email and password) and select Continue:
    1. The Docusign Support Center requires login credentials for a Production account. The account can be a Trial account, but it must be in a Production environment (i.e., not a Demo or Sandbox environment).
    2. Have issues logging in? Try these troubleshooting steps.
  4. Select a Case Subject. Note: If you have multiple DocuSign accounts, a pop-up will appear. Select an account to continue.
  5. Select any of the resources under ‘Need Answers Fast?’ that address your issue.
  6. If that doesn't answer your question, select the Add Case Details button.
  7. Complete the case form.
