template builder not showing whole document

Question

HiI need to create a new templatehistorically the whole document would appear allowing me to select areas to add fields to. now it has decided to select areas I might address, invariably wrong. how can I get the previous situation back or do I look for an alternative platform?it’s unusable as is. bestLee
