If in theory someone received 5 of the same documents physically, in printed form, with each being signed in ink and each document having a unique DocuSign Envelope ID contained in the document, how do you verify the validity of these documents? Is there a DocuSign envelope ID checker somewhere that you can lookup the envelope ID and confirm the ID matches to the original electronic document? What if no email or link was sent and only the physical copy, is there a way to ensure these are valid?
You cannot verify the transaction/documents when printed out, as all of the security is only available in an electronic form. The signed PDF will be the original, while the print outs are just printed documents.
In order to verify, request the PDF and Certificate of Completion from the person who gave you the printouts. There shouldn’t be any additional wet ink signatures that have been executed outside of Docusign.
Thank you very much for the response
