To continue offering identity verification solutions that meet local standards and compliance needs, we’ve updated our ID Verification provider for customers in Australia and New Zealand.

Starting today (9 December 2025), IDVerse® replaces Onfido as the default identity verification provider powering several Docusign-owned ID Verification workflows.

Who is IDVerse?

IDVerse is a leading private Australian company accredited under the Trusted Digital Identity Framework (TDIF). They’re used by major financial institutions across APAC and offer strong document coverage and proven reliability in the region.

What this means for you

Your experience in Docusign ID Verification does not change. Beginning 9 December 2025, IDVerse will automatically power:

  • Docusign ID Verification (document capture)
  • Docusign ID Verification with Liveness Detection

This change only applies to Docusign customers based in Australia and New Zealand.

Customers in all other regions will continue leveraging the Onfido-based solution.

Why we made this change

Through this change, you will now benefit from a TDIF-accredited solution and local data residency (Australia) to better support your compliance requirements.

This update also prepares for the decommissioning of Australia Post Digital iD on 30 January 2026.

Coming soon

Document Verification Service (DVS) is not available at the IDVerse launch but will be added in Q1 2026.
