Replacing Legacy Sharepoint with Organization Edition Sharepoint connector - files are not being saved

We have successfully installed the Org edition Sharepoint connector and uninstalled the legacy connectore.  We are using this to sign a document in one doc library in a site and save to a different doc library in the same site which worked perfectly in the legacy connector.

We don’t get an error when signing and the doc is sent via email without issue, but the file is never saved to the library or any location in the site.

When we click on sync failed envelopes we get “Current site doesn't contain new SPFX configuration, please make sure new app is installed and at least one envelope has been sent from the new SharePoint app.”

We had no issues with granting perms via global admin.

thanks for any help or pointers!

Hello,

I'm experiencing the same problem since replacing the old SharePoint connector with the new Organization connector.

Documents are sent for signature from SharePoint, but never return after being signed.

Hi @rbiddle,

We appreciate you reaching out to the Docusign Community and are delighted to have you join us.

We understand that you have successfully installed the Org Edition SharePoint and uninstalled the legacy SharePoint. However, it is not working as expected. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. Let me help you and provide the necessary information.

Based on the error message, this typically for means:

  • The new Docusign for SharePoint (SPFX) app is not fully installed/configured on the SharePoint site.
  • No envelope has been sent from the new app, which is required to initialize the configuration for that site.

To Resolve:

  1. Confirm InstallationEnsure the new DocuSign for SharePoint (Organization Edition/SPFX) app is installed on the SharePoint site in question.

Reference: DocuSign for SharePoint Installation Guide

  1. Send an EnvelopeFrom the newly installed app, send at least one envelope. This action triggers the configuration and enables sync functionality.
  2. Verify ConfigurationAfter sending the envelope, try accessing "Sync Failed Envelopes" again.
  3. Legacy Connector CleanupMake sure the legacy connector is fully uninstalled to avoid conflicts.

If the error persists after following the above steps, check SharePoint permissions for the Docusign app and ensure the latest version of the app is deployed.

We did all that.  Many times.  Multiple installs and sites.

The envelope is sent via email but never is saved to SharePoint.

Sync always gives that error regardless.
