I have connected my google drive with docusign and I am able to upload the documents from my drive.

But as soon as I try to go into the shared drive folders from docusign UI, I just checkboxes in front of the folder instead of it being a folder. How can I fix this?

Hi Noralynn,

My issue is that I cannot upload the documents from my shared google drive into the docusign.

This is only happening when I am trying to attach the documents  to docusign upload page from the shared drive in my google drive.

I am completely able to attach the documents from my normal google drive, the issue is only occurring when I am trying to upload from the shared drive to the docusign upload page.

Thank you,
I hope this answered your question, let me know if you still need screenshots.

Hi @Software Dev,

Thank you for responding and for providing additional information.

Upon checking, Google shared drives are separate storage locations managed by an organization or a different account, while My Drive is personal storage tied directly to your Google account. I will reach out to our specialized team to verify whether it is possible to attach a file from the shared drive or whether the necessary user permissions are required in your Google Workspace settings.

However, you may try adding shortcuts to Shared Drive folders in My Drive. This will not move the original file, but it will make it easier to access from My Drive.

Please let me know if adding shortcuts works.

I appreciate the time and effort you took in this inquiry.

Best regards,

Hi @Noralynn.Niduaza,

Thank you for your reply. I followed your suggestion and created a shortcut of the shared Drive folder in My Drive, then attempted to upload documents from that shortcut through the DocuSign upload page. Unfortunately, it still isn't working, the upload dialog displays the entire folder as a single uploadable file with a checkbox beside it, rather than showing the individual documents inside. When I select and try to upload that folder, the upload screen freezes.

To clarify, the Documents module is structured as a folder, not a single file, which seems to be where the disconnect is.

I appreciate your help on this, and I hope this feedback is useful as DocuSign continues to refine the product!

Hello @Software Dev,

Thanks so much for reaching out! Right now, DocuSign’s Google Drive integration works with your personal drive, but shared drive folders aren’t supported yet.

There’s already an idea post from the community requesting support for shared drives. While it’s not currently on our roadmap, we’re keeping an eye on interest in this feature. We’d encourage you to follow or upvote the idea so our product team can see how valuable this would be for you and others.

Hope this clears things up! If it helped, feel free to give it a like or mark it as the best answer. And we’re always here if you have more questions.

Best Regards,
