Signer not getting notification

Hi

Hope someone can help. I have a document which requires 10 people to sign and witness. I have set each of them up as a Witness Group, and put the fields in the right places on the document. Then hit send.

None of them are getting the email that tells them they have a document to sign.
One of them logged into his docusign account, and the document was sitting there.

I need people to get the notification. It doesn’t seem to be anything to do with email servers as the 10 people are all from different organisations, and none of them have got the notification.

I have resent, checked email addresses - all good.

 

Any ideas?

We are sorry for the recent experience you had with the envelope sent to multiple recipients. I understand that the recipients were not able to receive an email notification from Docusign regarding the document sent for signature. I’ll be glad to help you with this.

Thanks for your reply. I think the problem was that I created the envelope as an Agreement and then created Witness Groups. When I subsequently created a Template and created Witness Groups, the notifications worked. I’m not sure if this difference would have caused the notifications to not work?

I’m glad to hear that the notifications worked after you created a template and then configured the Witness Groups. While I can’t confirm with certainty whether creating the envelope as an Agreement before setting up the Witness Groups was the direct cause of the notification issue, it’s encouraging that the behavior was resolved with the new setup.

For future envelopes, creating and configuring the template first, including the witness recipients and routing, may help ensure that all participants are properly configured before the envelope is sent.
