Redirecting DocuSign email to a Different Email Address Than the actual Sender email

Hi All,
For non-production environments, we do not want DocuSign emails to be sent to the actual user email IDs. Instead, we would like to redirect all such emails to a common mailbox.

Could someone please share the steps to achieve this?

Thank you!

Hello @SrikanthChakilam

Thank you for reaching out to the Docusign Community. I understand you are looking to redirect Docusign email notifications away from individual user addresses and into a specific, centralized inbox.

To achieve this, there are two primary approaches depending on your specific workflow:

  1. Custom Email Domain for Email Routing - If you require notifications to be sent and received from a shared email alias (e.g., notifications@yourcompany.com) , you should explore setting up a Custom Email Domain. This allows for greater control over the “From” and “To” addresses and the routing of system-generated communications.

Please note that implementing a custom domain requires an active Docusign Organization, a verified and claimed domain, and access to edit DNS records in your organization's domain registrar.

  1. Shared Access with a Sending Account - However, if your goal is for your users to have a shared inbox to manage envelopes from a single location inside Docusign, and receive email notifications on a Shared email address, you can establish a dedicated “sending account” and add it as a user. Then, by using the Shared Access feature, other users can be granted permission to view and manage envelopes sent from this account.

Please note that the Shared access feature may/may not be enabled on your account, depending on your plan.

I hope this provides the clarity needed to optimize your notification workflow. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Best Regards,
