Question

PDF template uploaded. Fill in boxes 'adjusted' in my view - but overtype the next one when sent out to be completed?

My template is a word doc uploaded.  Then I add the text boxes and fitted them into the table - they look correct.  Some have a conditional field associated with them.

However, when the template arrives with the recipent, the boxes over lap?  I have set the fixed width option but that doesn’t seem to make a difference. What am I doing wrong?

Hi there @LesleyM, thanks for posting and welcome to the Docusign Community!

This could be related to how the Word doc is converted. DocuSign converts it to a PDF and places fields at fixed positions on the page, so they may not remain aligned with your table cells. Small layout shifts during conversion, like fonts, row heights, or page breaks, might be moving things around for the recipient. It's hard to say for sure without seeing the template.

One thing worth trying is saving the Word doc as a PDF yourself, uploading that PDF to your template, and placing the fields there. That may help lock the layout in before you position anything.

It would also help to preview the template or send a test to yourself and open it as the recipient, on both desktop and mobile, to see what your signers see.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any further questions
