My name is Evie Ngo, and I’m part of the organizing board for UC Irvine’s 2026 Design-a-thon, the largest student-run design hackathon in Southern California. Our 48-hour event brings together passionate and creative students to design, prototype, and pitch innovative products.
In 2025, 47% of our participants competed in their very first design-a-thon, representing over 30 schools nationwide and more than 40 majors.
This year, we’ve placed a greater focus on community impact and intentional sponsor engagement, ensuring students receive stronger resources while partners connect meaningfully with emerging designers.

We are currently seeking sponsors and partners who can support the event through financial contributions, prizes, merchandise, mentorship, or by having team members speak or judge.
