Question

DocuSign profile - unable to use a company email

We have a user that currently has a OAG profile is linked to her work email because it is part of her job. When she tries to sign on, the system won't let her. She can't even sign up for a free DocuSign account because we enabled the setting that prevents users from using their work emails. We do not have a current contract with DocuSign and our instance is now turned off. Any guidance on how we can get around this issue for eu that needs to use a DocuSign for their job because the other vendor uses DocuSign as their e-signature application?

Hi @Kathleen66,

Welcome to the Docusign Community! We are glad you joined us. It sounds like one of your users is unable to access or set up a Docusign account with their work email. Because an external vendor uses Docusign, she needs this account to sign documents for her job.

A Docusign account is usually not required for signing. The vendor can send the document straight to the user's work email, allowing them to open the link and sign via their browser without logging in.

The registration block may have occured because your company claims its email domain and blocks unmanaged sign-ups to stop users from making independent free accounts.

If a login is mandatory for the vendor's specific workflow, either the vendor must add the user to their Docusign account, or your internal Organization Admin needs to adjust the domain settings to provision the user.

If you want us to further investigate, please send me the details of the affected user (Email Address, Account ID, Envelope ID) via Private Message or directly open a case with us Get Support.

I hope this helps!

Best Regards,
