Alterations of Signed Documents

If someone has Full Adobe, you can download a DocuSign document, and convert it to a word doc. When you do this, signatures also copy over to the word document. This means that if one party has signed a contract, the other party can convert this to a word document and make alterations, with the other party’s signature on the document. Is this not a concern?

@Mia22 :

It is my understanding that the accompanying documents verifying the signature would no longer be valid once the PDF was converted to Word (or other format - or even edited in adobe). You would have a word doc/PDF (if you convert back after making changes) that does not match the Certificate of Completion and therefore would not be legally binding.
