Can the last role in the signing order be “Receives a Copy” with a Delivery of “Fax”? The business unit wants all signers to receive documents via email but then once signed, the BU would receive the signed documents via fax.

Yes, you can add the Carbon Copy recipient anywhere in the signing order, depending on at what point in the agreement flow you want them to receive your documents.
To fax your documents as the return method, follow these instructions.
Note: If you already downloaded the documents but quit during a previous Print & Sign session before returning your documents, you must download the documents again and sign using these instructions.
- Select Fax and select CONTINUE.
- Select DOWNLOAD to download the fax cover page and your documents.
- After downloading the fax cover page and your documents, select FINISH to exit the signing process.
- Print the fax cover page and documents using your normal printing method.
- Complete and sign the printed pages as needed.
- Follow the instructions on the printed fax cover page to fax the documents to Docusign.
Note: When faxing your documents, make sure to send the Docusign fax cover page first. The fax cover page has information that links your documents to the envelope. Your documents might be lost if the cover sheet is not the first page.
- When Docusign receives the fax, your documents are matched with the sender’s original request to complete the process.
Note: You can optionally upload the documents or sign them electronically. If you sign electronically, you can return to the document using the link in the original email that was sent to you. After you open the document, select CANCEL FAX to cancel the fax process. Then follow the instructions for uploading your documents.
You have successfully completed signing your documents.
When all the signers have completed signing, you receive an email confirming this and giving you have the option to download a PDF copy of the completed documents.

Thanks for the response. Someone needs to initiate the fax to DocuSign in order for it to then be received via fax by someone in the Receives a Copy role, correct? It can’t be automated on DocuSign’s side when the signer completes the signing process all on a computer, the documents are then forwarded to a fax number?
