We’re so excited to be attending fintech_devcon in Denver from August 4-6! Fintech_devcon is the leading conference for fintech builders, and a place where our community truly comes together to tackle shared challenges, focusing on real-world tools, best practices, and industry insights.
Whether you’re dealing with NIGO issues in your agreements or struggling with manual data entry and disjointed workflows when opening new accounts, fintech developers face a myriad of challenges around managing agreements. Developers are finding Docusign solutions to these problems, building their own private extension apps to connect Docusign with their internal systems to ensure data is in good order, or building low-code workflows to streamline account maintenance tasks using extension apps built by partners, like the Gluye extension app from Sandbox Banking.
We’re thrilled to be participating in fintech_devcon, both to empower fintech builders to scale their integrations with Docusign, and to learn from you all about your experiences building for fintech-specific use cases, the challenges you’re facing, and the latest industry trends and best practices you’re implementing.
Eliminating NIGO at the source: Architecting a scalable verification framework
We’re excited to also share that our very own David Gonzalez, senior software engineering manager at Docusign, will be giving a roadblock talk, on Wednesday at 2:00 PM MT, where he’ll let you in on some of the challenges our engineering team faced while building the connected fields extension. The extension allows you to perform real-time custom data verification of values entered in eSignature envelopes, addressing the issues that often appear in critical financial workflows when data is unverified and entered manually.
Join David as he shares a real-world case study from the team’s journey. You'll learn:
- The pitfalls and scaling limitations of applying a Plugin/Extension Pattern to solve foundational data quality issues.
- How we addressed these pitfalls by introducing a Strategy Pattern to some of our plug-ins to eliminate platform bottlenecks.
- How we leveraged the Decorator Pattern, creating a simple, developer-friendly way to make custom data models machine-readable by our generic verification framework.
We’re curious to know, what are some roadblocks you’ve encountered while building fintech solutions?
