Users with Envelope Transfer admin permissions should be able to transfer their own draft envelopes within Agreements

As an eSignature Admin, I can be working with my own envelopes in the Sent and Drafts folders and can click the three vertical dots on the far right, select Transfer Ownership and quickly and easily transfer a single envelope to another user. Logically, the option should appear for even limited, delegated admins granted the Envelope Transfer permission. Unfortunately, the option only appears for full admins.

I created a custom permission profile and experimented with granting more and more admin permissions. I can check everything between Users and Groups and Stamps, but the user still won’t see the Transfer Ownership option in their Sent and Drafts folder. All they see is Save as Template and Delete. But if I change the permission profile to Allow All administrative access, the Transfer Ownership option appears.

For logical consistency, please show the Transfer Ownership option not just to full admins but to delegated admins with Envelope Transfer permissions. Thank you.

all the documents told:

As an account administrator, you can manually transfer envelopes or templates between users.

Yes please. Let me put it plainly: we should be able to toggle easily whether a user can Transfer Ownership of envelopes without making them a full admin.

Thank you for sharing your idea @CDJ After reviewing it, we found that this request can be accomplished by following these steps:

  1. Create a Delegated Permission Profile

    • Set limited levels of account administrative access.
    • Select Allow Some and check Envelope Transfer.
  2. Assign the customized Delegated Permission Profile to the user.

  3. Important Note:

    • Users with this permission profile will not see the Transfer Ownership option under Agreements; instead, they need to go to Admin > Users, search for themselves, click Action, and select Transfer Envelopes.

@Melanie.Panguito thanks for the suggestion. I neglected to add one key detail that, unfortunately, makes your suggestion insufficient for our needs. Without going into too much detail, we have a small internal team that prepares complex envelopes who then transfer them to a larger team of public-facing senders to do the actual send. Thus, the envelopes that need to be transferred are in Draft form. I followed your steps, and I don’t see the option of transferring a draft envelope.

Thanks for sharing additional details @CDJ. We’ve reviewed the request, but since we’re not moving forward with it at this time, we’ve marked the idea as “parked,” which means it’s not currently planned but may be reconsidered in the future.

While it’s not on our current roadmap, ideas like yours help inform future direction if priorities change.

Thanks again for contributing your input.
