Request for Enhancement – Enable Envelope Preview Without Assignment

Based on the case below, the DocuSign case manager recommended creating an enhancement to override the code change introduced in the December 2025 release. This update disrupted our workflow because it no longer allows signers to simply preview envelopes on behalf of a signing group, as was previously possible.

The proposed solution is to implement a workaround or provide a way to preview envelopes without signing or being assigned to them. Previously, our process allowed signers to preview the document for QA purposes, verify the data, and then sign once confirmed. Now, they must view, review, and reassign the envelope to someone else for a later signature, which adds unnecessary complexity.
