Request Details:
We would like DocuSign to implement a built-in notification feature that automatically sends email alerts to a designated email address whenever an Agreement Action fails.
Typical scenarios include (but are not limited to):
- OAuth token refresh failures or token expiration issues.
- Errors related to integrations with external services (e.g., SharePoint, Salesforce, etc.).
- Any other errors causing Agreement Actions to fail.
Information to include in notifications:
To facilitate prompt troubleshooting, we suggest that the notification emails include the following information:
- Name of the affected Agreement Action.
- Date and time when the error occurred.
- Brief summary or details of the error (error message, error code, etc.).
- Any additional information helpful for troubleshooting.
Background (Why this feature is important):
Currently, DocuSign does not provide any notification mechanism when an Agreement Action fails. Users must manually check logs or wait until they notice the integration has stopped working, which can significantly impact business operations.
Having an automatic notification feature would enable users to quickly detect and resolve issues, minimizing business disruption and improving operational efficiency.
We believe this enhancement would greatly benefit many DocuSign users who rely heavily on integrations with external services such as SharePoint.
