Issue regarding user interface

The interface has been changed, I am facing several issues.  The current and big issue I am facing, is that when I add a text box into the document, and I click in the text box to begin typing text, suddenly on the right side a new column appears and that minimizes the document that I was working with and adding a text box to, minimized so much that I cannot work clearly and cannot read the page.  Changing the zoom size does not work because then my document no longer fits to the page, and I must navigate moving the document left to right to read and work with it, this is making things very challenging.  The problem is when clicking in the text box to add text, there is a column on the right side that automatically pops up. The previous docusign interface never had this column pop up, and I was able to use the text box feature easily. Now it is extremely challenging.
