Global Fields that are usable in formulas activated by multiple recipients

There needs to be a way that recipient 1 can enter data into a field, and have a later recipient activate a formula based on the data entered by recipient 1.  Example.  Recipient 1 enters data into “subtotal” field, and enters data into a “sales tax”.  Recipient 2 chooses 1 of 3 modifiers via checkbox, which then modify that subtotal.  That modified subtotal then gets plugged into a formula to get sales tax, and enters the new data into a new field called “grand total”.  At our company, we want our clients to have a couple of options attached to their contract, which when they choose one of these options, their pricing is updated.  These fields would HAVE to be read only to all recipients except the recipient who is responsible for filling the data.  Basically, a global field where the data is usable by multiple recipients.  I received confirmation from Docusign Support that this is currently impossible based on the current capabilities.
