Enhance Routing Rules with “OR” Logic for Dropdown Fields

Currently, Routing Rules in DocuSign primarily rely on “AND”-style logic when evaluating conditions. This creates limitations when working with dropdown fields—especially since dropdowns already limit to a single option. “AND” simply doesn’t make sense.

It would be highly beneficial to introduce an “OR” logic option within Routing Rules, allowing workflows to trigger when any of several selected dropdown values are met. For example, instead of requiring multiple separate rules for each value, users could define a single rule such as:
If Dropdown = Option A OR Option B OR Option C → Route to X

This enhancement would:

• Simplify workflow configuration and reduce rule duplication
• Improve maintainability and readability of routing logic
• Better align with real-world business scenarios where multiple values should trigger the same outcome
• Fully leverage the flexibility already present in dropdown field design

Adding native support for “OR” conditions—especially for dropdowns —would significantly improve efficiency and scalability for complex routing workflows.
