Hello, as I understand currently Docusign still doesn't work in Slovakia with its eID system, on macOS (I got this info from docusign support, and also tested this quite a lot with no effect). I was told to post this as a feedback, so it can be addressed. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Hello DocuSign Team,

As the number of macOS users continues to grow and organizations increasingly digitalize their document workflows, the need for broad and platform‑agnostic signing capabilities is becoming essential.

Enabling this functionality would bring several key benefits:

  • Improved productivity for users who rely on macOS devices in both business and public‑sector environments.
  • Full compliance with local legislation, as Slovak eID provides a qualified electronic signature (QES) recognized under eIDAS.
  • Faster, more efficient, and paperless processes, reducing administrative effort and environmental impact.
  • Better user experience through seamless cross‑platform support without the need for workarounds, additional hardware, or legacy systems.

Given the EU’s strong push for secure digital identity and cross‑border interoperability, adding support for macOS and Slovak eID would significantly expand DocuSign’s usability in the region.

Thank you for considering this request. I believe this enhancement would greatly benefit users and strengthen DocuSign’s position in Central Europe.

Thanks in advance!

To clarify, the issue we are facing was also described in this post:

Our company adopted a paperless document‑signing process some time ago, which represents an important step toward achieving our climate‑protection objectives. Currently, however, users on macOS devices are unable to sign documents using their government‑issued Slovak eID due to an incompatibility between the Slovak eID signing authority and DocuSign. As a result, these users are required to revert to signing physical paper documents, which is not only inconvenient but also counterproductive to our environmental goals.

If anyone else is experiencing a similar issue, please consider upvoting this post. We have already raised this matter with the DocuSign Support team, and after their thorough investigation, this was the final recommended course of action.

In case you need additional details or clarification, feel free to contact me.

Thank you!
