Docusign’s new enforcement of not allowing countersignatures on digitally signed documents has caused a major issue with our execution of contracts.  We lost the ability to tag with date (using text field), printed name and title.  The workaround was our broker scanning the digitally signed document and then we were able to use all fields. The tradeoff is that you lose the ability to validate the reinsurer's original digital certificate because the scan is just an image. However, the broker intentionally sent us the scanned version that is being used for countersignature, many contracting parties treat the scan as the signing copy.  Not perfect but a workaround.

Can Docusign upgrade in order to allow countersignatures on digitally signed documents?
