Conditional Fields between signers

I would like to be able to make a signer’s signature conditional on whether someone else checks a box. Is there a way to do that?

Specifically, we would like to be able to check a box if the “Resident” has a Power of Attorney. If so, we need the POA’s signature.

@Jeri T, we’re thrilled to share that this idea has been delivered!

Thank you for your feedback and it played a big role in shaping this feature.

You can learn more about how to use it Conditional Fields, and we’d love to hear what you think!

Please take note that the checkbox and the conditional field must be part of the same envelope.

If the checkbox is unchecked, the POA signature field is hidden and the envelope does not require their signature.

@marco.tanglao Thank you for delivering on this idea. However, I am still unable to set a trigger field to Recipient 1 to reveal a signature field for Recipient 2. The Conditional Fields support article doesn’t describe how to have conditional fields trigger across recipients; please provide more info on how to achieve what was described in this idea.

We have also tried as of today (June 17 2026) and we can not make an initial box appear based on a dropdown option. this feature would save us many steps internally
