If ‘Prevent unmanaged signups’ is enabled, domain users cannot create new accounts nor be added to external accounts if they are using an email address of the claimed domain. What is the impact to the functionality of the application or users if users can create new accounts and be added as external accounts if they are using an email address of the claimed domain? Does this pose a data integrity issue?

Hello @Carolynn Schultz,

For data integrity, the actual risk/concern is unique per company. Generally, the warning that would be discussed in this scenario is that allowing domain users the ability to create their own accounts or to be added to external accounts means those users could act independently of your corporate account and could potentially create risk based on the fact that company documents could be sent or signed using these unmanaged accounts.

As far as functionality/features of Docusign specifically, there would be no change. The user would be able to join or create external accounts and use features based on what has been paid for on those accounts.

I hope that helps.
