Hey Docusign Community 👋

This month’s update brings you steal-worthy workflow ideas from other members, a look at what’s ahead on the Docusign Q4 roadmap, and an async Ask Me Anything for developers building with Docusign APIs.

🤓Community Spotlight: How you all use Docusign to work smarter

Thanks to everyone who shared how you’re using Docusign in your day-to-day work in the October Challenge. The thread surfaced practical ideas you can borrow or build on, especially if you’re looking to reduce manual steps or make processes more consistent.

Here are a few highlights—head to the thread to ask your peers questions or for advice on how you can do something similar.

Faster onboarding from a single starting point: @Pau123 shared a Maestro-driven onboarding flow that sends an NDA, SOW, and tax form based on a single input, uses conditional fields for role and compensation, escalates reminders if signing stalls, and saves completed packets with metadata for easier search.

Reducing contract bottlenecks with CLM: @skazmi154 shared how their team uses CLM to keep buy-side and sell-side agreements moving by centralizing contract workflows, applying advanced approval logic, and giving Legal, Sales, and Finance real-time visibility into agreement progress.

Making vendor packets more consistent: @cblackst uses a form-driven workflow to determine which documents and signers are required for each vendor type, which helps their procurement team prep the right packet every time.

Supporting region-specific signing requirements: @Akshay shared how their organization incorporates region-appropriate signing methods to support compliant, trackable approvals for India-based agreements.

Pulling multi-step reservations into one flow: @Turtle.Island streamlined a reservations process that once relied on PDFs, email threads, and multiple handoffs by shifting it into a digital CLM-driven workflow with templates, built-in reviews, and online payment steps.

Making onboarding smoother for multilingual teams: @JustSanch created a single workflow containing both English and Spanish versions of a W-4, using a language choice up front so candidates only see the form they need.

🔐 Now through November 25 | Developer AMA: Authentication & access tokens

If you're building with Docusign, you’re using OAuth—it's the behind-the-scenes system that lets your app securely “unlock” Docusign APIs. And while it’s essential, it can also be confusing.

That’s why the November developer Ask Me Anything (AMA) is focused entirely on authentication and access tokens.

What the AMA is

An open thread where you can post questions about OAuth 2.0 and authentication. A Docusign expert will reply to your question directly with answers and advice.

  • Topics you might ask about
  • Choosing the right OAuth grant type for your app
  • Getting and managing access tokens
  • Token lifecycle basics and best practices

The async AMA thread is open now through this coming Tuesday, November 25. Add your question and you’ll be automatically entered to win a $100 Loop & Tie gift of your choice.
