Introducing… Docusign Workspaces! This new IAM capability allows you to create a single space for all of the documents, envelopes, and messages that support a single transaction.
For example, maybe you are preparing a new application for a customer. They are applying for an account at your financial institution. You could create a Workspace for the customer’s application. In that Workspace, you can request the customer to upload necessary documents for their application, message internal colleagues regarding the status of the customer’s application, and prepare the necessary envelopes for signature. Everything is all together in a single Workspace!
To create a workspace, head to your Agreements tab > Workspaces.
Once a workspace is created, you can:
- Invite others to the Workspace to collaborate
- Invitees can be given the Manage or Participate permissions
- Message other internal participants from the Workspace
- Create an upload request for document(s)
- Create envelopes to send for signature
- Envelopes can be created from scratch or from account templates
Since Workspaces is brand new (it was released in mid-April 2025), it will likely evolve and iterate as more functionality is released. See here for our Workspaces documentation and release notes.
